These handcrafted sconces combine fused glass designs with copper, creating a unique and eye-catching art for your home.
This is a sconce-style shade to place over a light bulb on a wall. The face of this cover is made of 16 oz. hammered copper with a fused glass lens to allow light through. It mounts to the wall on two screws which align with keyhole mounting locations on the back side. Screws are included. The copper is coated with Incralac so the finish will be preserved both indoors or outdoors. The back side has a coated steel housing by which it is mounted to a wall. A compact profile light socket is needed as shown in the photo of the electrical box face plate and socket and must be purchased and is not sold by Copper Accent. The photo from 1000bulbs.com shows the socket used for displays. For this particular glass design a 40w equivalent medium base LED bulb (included) is suggested, however customer preference may require a different wattage which must be purchased by the customer.
An alternative design, which addresses concerns about preserving dark skies, prevents light from being directed straight upward and is available for the same price. Please ask seller about purchasing that design as it will be a custom order. Also, tamperproof screws (included) can be used to secure the sconce to wall to prevent theft.
At the time you place your order, determine if a permanent weather cap needs to be added if you will be placing in locations not protected from rain. A sample photo of an installed polycarbonate cap can be provided upon request.
Shipping charges are not included in the price for this item. This product is only shipped to the lower forty eight states by UPS Ground. Alternative shipping methods will be paid for by the customer. Depending upon availability at time of order, this product may need to be made so allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Return Policy: Shipping expenses for returned merchandise are the responsibility of the customer unless the merchandise was received in damaged condition. Photos of damage must be sent to shipper within 48 hours of delivery.
